Sweet Candy Cash Megaways launched on 15 June 2023, roughly four weeks ahead of the title without the suffix. Iron Dog Studio did not write a second chapter here; it set the same sugar world on a different foundation.

The theme list is broader: candy canes, hearts, stars and sweets in blue, pink and violet. Anyone who knows the cluster version will recognise the hand immediately — the symbols simply sit in a very different order.

Megaways, dynamic reels, energy collection

The core is the Megaways mechanic with dynamic reels: the symbol count per reel changes from spin to spin, so the number of ways fluctuates continuously. The data lists more than 1,024 ways.

Around that sit cascades, free spins with their own multiplier, additional free spins within the round, randomly placed wilds and a buy feature. The most distinctive entry is the symbol collection, logged as Energy — collected symbols drive a progression whose exact thresholds the studio has not published.

96.2 per cent and a 25,000x cap

Against the cluster version's 95.18 per cent, the Megaways build sits at 96.2 per cent — a full point better, and with a substantially higher maximum. The ceiling stands at 25,000x the stake, the highest of any Iron Dog title in this catalogue.

Together that makes the Megaways version the mathematically better of the pair. One caveat applies here too: the feature list carries a configurable RTP range, so the live value depends on the operator. Volatility is high.

How to set up a Megaways session

Stake limits are undocumented. For planning, the structure matters more anyway: with reel heights changing, the spread of individual outcomes is wider than on a fixed grid. Many spins return nothing, a few return a great deal.

In games like this the 25,000x figure comes almost exclusively from free spins, when cascades and a climbing multiplier line up. A stake that survives the wait to get there matters more than a large one.

Which of the two versions

For players who prefer Megaways anyway the decision is easy: higher RTP, higher ceiling, a more mobile structure. The cluster version, on the other hand, has pay anywhere and a bonus bet, neither of which appears here.

Verdict

Of the two Sweet Candy Cash builds, the Megaways version is the stronger one. It returns a full point more, caps at 25,000x rather than 15,000x, and puts more movement into the base game through dynamic reels and the energy collection.

None of that changes the underlying nature: high volatility, yield concentrated in the bonus, long waits in between. If you already know Megaways you know what you are taking on, and this is an above-average example of it. If the format has never suited you, the sugar coating will not change that.
